While I was off to Muskogee to get the fireworks, Carol slaved over her featherweight to make these amazing pin flags for the golf course! Old Glory pattern for the small pins and a Texas for the main pin! How cool is that!?!

Dad's Fountain

With the addition of the back screened-in porch on the big house, we had no choice but to cover up the fountain Dad built.

His concreted hole is still there, but underneath the porch.  So, I finally got the new fountain built on this trip.  Mike had dug a really large hole and it ended up working out with the mill stone so we kept it that size.  It's quite a statement.  Now Mom needs to finish the landscaping!  In the quest to find a bigger pump, we ended up with a light too!  Mom loves the light and even goes outside to enjoy the new fountain at night!

Mom has been busy!

She cleaned out the entire area around the greenhouse. I (with Mike's help) built the little wall around it today. I get Callahan's tonight! Ooooh baby! I am tired, hard work for a FIRST day...

Almost April Showers

Flint Creek got its first good cleanup this year thanks to the slow-moving rain storm that reached all the way down to Houston. You can see the beach was nearly covered and the small creek got a great flushing out.

Despite me and mostly Mike digging out a trench to keep water running, the drought has really made it impossible to keep a flow going. Hopefully this is the start of the rainy season!

Fall Afternoon?

Finally got a break in the wind - so was able to burn off both fire pits full of winter brush! Coolest day for this trip, just perfect with the moon overhead and the birds coming in to feed!
